TERMINAL SERVICES FAX

GoldFax for Microsoft Windows Terminal Services

For thin client applications such as Windows Terminal Services, GoldFax allows organisations to deploy applications across networks with minimal impact on network resources.  GoldFax takes full advantage of thin-client technology, regardless of user location, client hardware, client operating system, or bandwidth limitations. GoldFax has full support for Windows Terminal Services environments.

GoldFax Thin-Client Connectivity

GoldFax is engineered to fax-enable thin-client environments.  GoldFax server software installs on a Windows 2003 or NT server even the thin-client server, if you desire.  GoldFax is “thin-client aware”, enabling easy implementation of desktop fax for network users.  GoldFax installation in thin-client environments involves two processes – (1) installation of GoldFax on the fax server and (2) installation of a single copy of the GoldFax Client – on the terminal server.  The client installation program automatically detects the thin-client environment and loads copies of the GoldFax Client in each user profile, giving every user full fax capability via “thin” client-screen updates displayed on their desktops.

GoldFax can run on a dedicated fax server independent of the thin-client network, and supports high-volume production fax from any system on your network.  With GoldFax, organisations can meet all their enterprise fax needs from one flexible, powerful fax server.

GoldFax User Interface.

Support for multiple profiles effectively means that each user manages his or her own desktop fax environment, including basic email-style GoldFax folders – Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items, and Deleted Items – as well as private folders and a private phone book.  From within their individualised clients, users also share the public phone book. In addition, individual users or defined workgroups can customise cover pages to meet particular needs – or use the standard page defined by the administrator.

Server-Side Conversion.

Users submitting jobs for faxing offload image conversion from the thin-client server to the GoldFax server in order to leverage its higher performance.  This allows any user to submit high-volume fax broadcasts.

Administrator-Friendly Installation.

Thin-client administrators will find GoldFax and its “thin” components easy to install.  There are no special commands to run, scripts to execute or modifications to Windows Terminal Services, and there are no INI files to manually edit.

Powerful GoldFax features improve efficiency, accelerate fax delivery, and substantially reduce the costs of faxing in and beyond the thin-client network. Easy to install, easy to use, and developed for Windows Terminal Services, GoldFax brings industry-leading fax automation to thin-client/server environments.

GoldFax Advantage #1
Simplicity
GoldFax is built to be easily installed, deployed and used. Our technology is advanced with robust capabilities, yet the installation process is quick and easy, and we make the user interface seamless.

GoldFax is very easy for your users to understand and is transparent to everyone since all they do is select a GoldFax "printer" from the print dialogue box, fill out the fax number and press print. After that instant, the fax sent to the server for processing and the user can go back to work.

Many of our competitors have products that are complex to install, deploy and use, and that often require several days of consultant installation time.
